Belfast, Northern Ireland

Essential Guide of What To Do in Belfast

Belfast is probably one of the most underrated tourist destinations that I have come across in the United Kingdom. When people think of visiting, London is inevitably top of the list followed by picturesque Edinburgh and Belfast generally doesn’t get a mention. In fact, if you’re heading over that way, a lot of people will bypass the north and head to the Republic taking in Dublin and then travel the Wild Atlantic Way.

Australia, Blue Mountains, New South Wales

Dryridge Estate, Megalong Valley

A great way to spend a lazy weekend afternoon in the Blue Mountains, is to head down to the Megalong Valley and visit the picturesque Dryridge Estate. A boutique winery, it’s a great place to settle on their terrace and share a charcuterie board or ploughman’s lunch over a bottle of wine or enjoy a tasting of their current vintage wines.

Dublin, Ireland

The Hard Rock Hotel – a music lover’s dream place to stay in the middle of Dublin’s Temple Bar

Right in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar, the recently opened Hard Rock Hotel is a great place to stay for music fans and lovers of luxury hotels alike. With its prime position to the heart of the tourist district, it is everything you could want from an upmarket hotel but with all the hallmarks of the Hard Rock brand.

County Clare, Ireland

Add the Armada Hotel to your list of must stay places in County Clare, Ireland

On a recent road trip through Ireland, we booked a night’s accommodation at the delightful Armada Hotel at Spanish Point in County Clare. Our one regret was that we didn’t book two nights and vowed on our next trip, we definitely will. If you’re travelling the Wild Atlantic Way or just meandering through County Clare, it definitely should be on your list.
