From the moment you step into Garfish Restaurant, Manly, you know you are in for a fine dining treat. Garfish is one of those restaurants that you know, no matter how many times you dine there that you will always be guaranteed of exceptional, fresh seafood and wait staff who are well schooled in faultless service.
It’s a restaurant where you will find couples on a romantic Saturday night date, or a baby shower being celebrated on a Sunday afternoon. You may find grandparents sharing a special celebration with their family smiling on or tourists who are keen to taste the best of Sydney seafood after a day visiting Manly’s iconic coastline. In fact, no matter what the occasion, Garfish is a great place to enjoy a meal and whether you want a formal champagne and lobster, or craft beer battered fish and chips, you are sure to find something on the menu to your liking.
If you want to choose from their changing blackboard menu which selects fresh fish daily, you choose the way it is cooked based on their recommendation of grilled, spiced or wood roasted. From personal experience, their wood fired Moreton Bay Bugs with Lemon Butter are to die for, my only regret was we didn’t order the large portion.
Another of my favourite dishes on their a la carte menu is the Sri Lankan Fish and Tiger Prawn Curry. With my love of spicy food and a good curry, it’s a dish I come back to time and time again. Each time I visit Garfish, I always say I will try something different but many times I find myself going back to this Curry and it has never let me down.
If you have the chance to spend some time in Manly and you love great seafood, make sure you book in a lunch or dinner at Garfish Restaurant. You won’t be disappointed! (Oh and their cocktail list is pretty impressive, as well!!)
