Award winning London cocktail bar, Lyaness, on the Ground Floor of Sea Containers London, is definitely worthy of an article of its own. From the moment you enter the doors and are seated in plush electric blue velvet, comfy chairs to opening up the menu, you know you’re in for something special.
The cocktail menu which changes seasonally, is created by Mr Lyan AKA Ryan Chetiyawardana, a multi-award winning Bartender in his own right, and his team. Its broken down into key ingredients which at first may seem a little unusual. For instance, the night we visited, ingredients on offer included Oyster Honey, Blood Curacao, Green Sauce Liqueur and Fruit Furikake. They’re explained in great detail in the menu, be adventurous and try what’s on offer because mixed into a drink, they’re not going to be something you’re likely going to come across too often. If you’re unsure what you want, don’t be afraid to ask the friendly staff and they will give you a recommendation based on what your tastes are.
The bar is popular with guests staying at Sea Containers, but also the local London crowd and is busy most nights, so it’s best to book a time slot. You won’t be disappointed!
