Sydney turned on a glorious sunny afternoon for our third time experiencing a sail and overnight yacht stay with Taylor Made Escapes.
We first experienced the 90 minute yacht sailing experience when we spent time at Jonah’s, Whale Beach and it was offered as an add-on to our weekend getaway. Since then we have been back a couple of times to experience their overnight stay and it hasn’t disappointed.
Taylor Made Escapes is a family run business and operates out of Palm Beach, Sydney. They currently have three yachts in their fleet and are looking at adding another one later this year. They offer anything from 90 minute charters to overnight stays, corporate events and wedding proposals.
To maximise our stay on board, we like to book a 90 minute sail with one of their experienced skippers. We’ve been skippered by both Michael and Jane, and both times we’ve had a great time getting to know them while enjoying one of their sumptuous platters and a glass of Moet. Each time we return to Taylor Made, it feels like catching up with old friends. As you sail, you will be shown the highlights of Pittwater, and may even be given the chance to take the wheel yourself, before the glass of Moet, of course!
After the sail, you will be moored back at Palm Beach where you will be left to enjoy the sunset while paddling in the water or just dipping your feet in off the back of your yacht.
Taylor Made can organise platters including seafood, antipasto and for breakfast the next morning, but you can also bring your own food on board as each yacht has a kitchen with gas stove and cooking equipment. The yachts are equipped with USB phone charging and a bluetooth music system so you can enjoy your own collection of music, sipping on a glass of champagne, feasting on a platter, and watching the sun go down. What more could you ask for?
If you’re looking for that perfect romantic date or proposal, chat to Michael and his team, and they will help organise the finer details.
