The Hard Rock Hotel – a music lover’s dream place to stay in the middle of Dublin’s Temple Bar

Right in the heart of Dublin’s Temple Bar, the Hard Rock Hotel is a great place to stay for music fans and lovers of luxury hotels alike. With its prime position to the heart of the tourist district, it is everything you could want from an upmarket hotel but with all the hallmarks of the Hard Rock brand.

The hotel which opened in early 2020, is spread across two buildings, including the 20th century heritage listed, Exchange Hotel and a more modern building behind. The buildings are linked by the Rainbow Bridge which is bedazzling in itself and a psychedelic experience after a few of their expertly mixed cocktails in Zampas, the cocktail bar and restaurant housed on the ground floor.

As you walk through the hotel, you are greeted with musical memorabilia and trivia posters which never let you forget you’re staying in the Hard Rock Hotel, and add to the funky, cool vibe of the space.

A feature which I loved, being a music fan was when we checked in we were asked for our taste in music. When we reached our room, we found our own ‘Sound of Your Stay’ soundtrack had been added to our in room entertainment system to make our stay just that little bit more memorable.

Luxury King Room

During our stay, we chose the Luxury King Room and the first thing which impressed us as we entered was how big and bright the room was. With floor to ceiling windows, we had an impressive view of Dublin City Hall and the streets below.

Being in the heart of Temple Bar, you would expect it would be quite noisy but there was no outside noise at all which made for a pleasant night’s sleep in their sleep-like-a-rock trademarked cotton linens. The room featured a good sized bathroom with a rain shower head, and a corner desk area as well as a stylish armchair.

Zampas

Instead of the usual Hard Rock Cafe fare you would expect, the Hard Rock Hotel Dublin is home to the Peruvian restaurant and bar, Zampas. A popular venue in the city, Zampas prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients which works well with the bold flavours of Peruvian cuisine. The menu is innovative and booking only dinner the first evening, we found ourselves dining there again and again throughout our stay. Zampas is a crowd favourite, and their bar area showcases live music throughout the week and is a busy nightspot on the weekend, so be sure to book a table.

If you’re a music lover, or a lover of fine hotels, or just want to stay in the heart of Temple Bar, Dublin’s Hard Rock Hotel is definitely recommended for a great night in the city, or an extended stay. Plus, don’t forget to get your obligatory Hard Rock T-Shirt at the merchandise store on your way out.
