Right in the heart of Kinsale, overlooking the Harbour, you will find the beautifully renovated, boutique hotel, The Old Bank Townhouse. Originally the home of the Munster & Leinster Bank, the building dates back to the 1700s and has been tastefully decorated and preserved many of its original features.
The 17 room hotel over three floors, offers a mix of classic charm but with modern features such as a Nespresso machine and Dyson fan to make your stay more comfortable.
We were lucky to have booked a room at the front of the house and had a great view of Kinsale Harbour as well as the streetscape below.
On the ground level is a great cafe where a delicious and full breakfast is served during your stay. The night before you choose which time you would like breakfast as the cafe serves the general community as well and is a popular Kinsale destination in itself.
The Old Bank Townhouse is in a great location, right in the heart of Kinsale. Once you park the car, everything that you need such as restaurants, bars and shops is at your doorstep.
Next time we’re in Kinsale, we will definitely be making the Old Bank Townhouse our base for a few nights while we check out everything Kinsale and County Cork has to offer.
